Snapping out of a confusing spell when they called him by his true name, he started running and running and running, puzzled by the web of paths and clumsy souls which have appeared during that time and which had not been there before. He never turned back, not even to glance at his former prison or to see them running at his side. Instead, he headed to the familiar woods, his home, his fellows, his kindred. And instead of toes he now had hoofs, golden-brown fur was protecting his morphing body and large horns threatened any potential hinderer. And he was the king of the forest.
Then everything behind him was replaced by thick branches and layer of leaves and cool shadows, as if none of that which was before had ever existed.
We saw you out there, my liege, and you were devoid of life and meaning and conscience. But now your kingdom has reclaimed you once more as sovereign and we welcome you with our arms wide open.

Although the name Litha is not well attested, it may come from Saxon tradition – the opposite of Yule. On this longest day of the year, light and life are abundant. At mid-summer, the Sun God has reached the moment of his greatest strength. Seated on his greenwood throne, he is also lord of the forests, and his face is seen in church architecture peering from countless foliate masks.
From here.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a summer solstice to celebrate today! In Romania, the exact time that marks the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere and that of the winter in the southern hemisphere is 20:06.

My dearest and most inquisitive friend,
Think of it as a breathing organism, a slumbering sovereign, a river that keeps its course flowing to the ocean’s embrace. Think, if you will, that it can hear you. Furthermore, consider the possibility that it is able to anticipate your moves, to smell your fears and to know your weaknesses.
I, my friend, have been accepted at its side to guard over its dreams, to make certain that it does not get disturbed from its …existence. After I am gone, I know not what will become of it. You never know with these creatures, they take a certain twisted pleasure in juggling with the element of surprise.
In any case, even though it may seem absurd… Think of it as alive.

These weeks have been rather distressing, without any new episode from the few TV shows I was still watching, namely Heroes, Lost, Ghost Whisperer, South Park or Family Guy. Rome was also over a while ago.
Thus, my movie resources are dwindling. I’ve begun reviewing my old collections of Disney animations, but after having seen them several times, they don’t look as appealing as they once did.
I am, however, glad that The 4400 will be reaired beginning with the 17th of this month and it seems we’ll also be having Weeds back on the 31st of July.
I can hardly wait.

They were preying on their victims like rabid dogs.
The gods of war had let loose their most adored champions for a battle that had no other purpose aside from the sheer pleasure of seeing rivers of burning blood. It was their chance of achieving this little victory they hungered for. Steady blade motions, swift deaths. Rip and shatter, tear apart!
But when the skies stopped cracking with heavy storms, the winds began mourning, scrying a forthcoming day of reckoning.
