Saving .swf Files in FireFox
20:25:46Somebody who recently started using Foxy for browsing asked me a little while ago how is it possible to save a .swf file.
At first, I recall having read something about an extension which could do that, but a quick search failed to uncover any such thing. Therefore, we took it another way (I’d have said “the hard way”, but that would have been unappropriate). For further reference, I’ll write the steps of that in here, too.
1. Click on the Tools menu, then go to Page Info. Alternatively, right click anywhere (in a clear area) on the web page and choose View Page Info. 2. Go to the Media tab ([Alt]+[M] should also work). 3. Look for the .swf you wanted to save (others like images and .css files will also be shown here – you might find this handy in some other situation, too) and click on the Save As button and select the desired location. This usually works, even if the preview pane doesn’t show anything.
You could also adopt the “geekish” alternative, searching for the .swf file in the cache folder.
1. Type about:cache in the address bar and then select Disk cache device or directly type about:cache?device=disk. 2. Press [Ctrl]+[F] and type in something related to the site until you find it. 3. Click to select the respective entry then right click and select Save As the key link.
That’s it. And you don’t even need to download and install another extension.

2006?
Monday, 02 Jan 2006 21:42:53Yay, thanks to Auggie I’m taking silly quizes again. And since I’ll probably find others more or less interesting some time or another, I’ll make a new category just for such things.
How do gypsy women predict future with the help of coffee? If my coffee stands still and looks ordinary does it mean that I’ll have a boring and dull year?
The Classic Lover36% partner focus, 19% aggressiveness, 15% adventurousness
Based on the results of this test, it is highly likely that:
You prefer your romance and love to be traditional rather than daring or out-of-the-ordinary, you would rather be pursued than do the pursuing and, when it comes to physical love, you concentrate more on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about your performance.
This places you in the Lover Style of: The Classic Lover.
The Classic Lover is a wonderful Lover Style, and is the closest it comes to the classic images of the princess in the tower, or the romantic and chivalrous knight, or the hero/heroine from a Disney film. The Classic Lover is a treasure to find, though it can be difficult to do so because they sometimes tend to be shy and/or difficult to successfully court.
In terms of physical love, the Classic Lover again can be shy, and often needs more in terms of emotional security to feel comfortable than some of the other Types. Given the right setting, and the right lover, the Classic Lover can be a delight in bed.
Best Compatibility can probably be found with: The Romantic Lover (most of all) or the Devoted Lover, or the Liberated Lover.
Pure Nerd52 % Nerd, 26% Geek, 47% Dork
For The Record:
A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.
The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the “dork.” No-longer. Being smart isn’t as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.
